If abortion is an option you are considering, it is very important to get all the facts before you make that choice. Abortion is a medical procedure, whether it is accomplished through pills or a surgical procedure. You need to fully understand what each abortion method means and what you can expect from it. Hope Pregnancy Center does not perform or refer for abortions, but we can provide answers to many of your questions through evidence based education. Each pregnancy test appointment includes a consultation with a medical professional to help you best understand the things you need to know. (If you are a minor without a parent or guardian, you will self test under the supervision of one of our trained volunteers. If your test is positive, an RN will re-run it, and if it repeats as positive, then you can have a consult with her.)
Abortion does not have a "do-over" option, so it's important to be fully informed before you make this decision. You owe it to yourself to get the facts. Many of our staff have found themselves in your situation. Let us answer your questions such as:
Am I really pregnant?
How far along am I?
Is my pregnancy a healthy one? Do I even need an abortion?
What are the abortion options for me?
What are the risks of each method?
What kind of follow up can I expect after an abortion?
What are the long and short term effects of abortion?
Can my boyfriend or parents force me to have an abortion?
What do I need to do before I can have an abortion?
What kinds of questions should I ask the abortion provider?
Do my parents need to know if I get an abortion?
*We do not offer, recommend or refer for abortions or abortifacients, but we are committed to offering accurate information about abortion procedures and risks.« Back
